Whether you live in Shikoku, are planning a trip, or are simply interested but unsure due to a lack of information, this guide is for you.

1. Tokushima Universal Design Map (Tokushima Prefecture)

The Tokushima Universal Design Map is a site that provides information on facilities with universal design considerations within the prefecture in the form of a map.

The site is operated by the Diversity Promotion Division of the Tokushima Prefecture Future Creation and Cultural Department.

There are two ways to search.

You can either enter the facility name, type (restaurant, convenience store, etc.), or municipality, or use the recommended search buttons (such as "facilities accommodating wheelchair users" or "facilities with ostomate-friendly toilets") to display a list.

In addition to information on whether there are wheelchair-exclusive parking spaces or steps, detailed information such as the width of entrances and the presence of mirrors in elevators is provided.

Furthermore, information beneficial to various people, such as the presence of nursing rooms or whether assistance dogs are allowed, is included.

Since photos are also available, you can get a sense of the facility beforehand, allowing you to go out with peace of mind.

2. Odekake Map Kagawa (Kagawa Prefecture)

Odekake Map Kagawa is a site operated by the Regional Life Support Group of the Disability Welfare Division, Kagawa Prefecture Health and Welfare Department, where you can find information on facilities and equipment.

There are three search methods, as follows:

  • Detailed Search
Select one of "Area Selection," "Facility (commercial facilities, transportation, etc.) Selection," "Facility Equipment Selection," or "Other (nearest from current location)" to search.
In particular, in the Facility Equipment Selection, you can choose items such as whether there is space for wheelchair users in restaurants or how much of a step there is in the bathrooms of accommodation facilities.
  • Free Word Search
If you know the facility you want information about, you can enter its name to search.
  • Simple Search
Select one of the three items: Target (wheelchair users, hearing-impaired, etc.), Purpose (eating, shopping, etc.), or Area to search.

With the search method of selecting facility equipment in the detailed search, you can make detailed selections, allowing you to find facilities that meet your conditions.
